A Different Type of Donation

A casual late night browse through Facebook for Karting and Kart and Superkart magazines led to the hiring of a van and an 8 hour round trip to Liverpool to collect an absolute treasure trove of complete sets of Motor Sport and Autosport magazines alongwith hundreds of event programmes and various quantities of less well known and rarer magazines, supplements and brochures [Anybody remember the Castrol Achievements Booklets?].

Dating from 1936 through to the early 2,000’s this extraordinary house clearance from the estate of an avid motor racing enthusiast [who judging by the number of programmes, must surely have attended just about every motor racing circuit event in the UK during the fifties, sixties and seventies!] will now become a background fund raising project. The contents of 73 boxes will be unboxed, catalogued, bundled into appropriate lots, stored and then offered for sale on eBay over an extended period of time to help bolster funds for the British Karting Heritage Project. Not a cash donation - but  certainly a find that could prove to be a good return on the investment of a van hire and a long trip!
